From the file of “Really Bad Ideas in 2011”, let’s revisit the proposed 22-mile gas pipeline that would run from Divide Creek area under the Colorado River to processing facilities near Parachute.

It’s always hard to know what to say in public comments other than: “Are you effing kidding me? What a dangerous and stupid idea!” They probably don’t want to hear stuff like that. But I’m not all that certain they pay any attention whatsoever to public comments. They are just required to allow them.

So why is this pipeline such a bad idea? Because pipelines explode.
