Trail work at Dogland

Tod Tibbetts widened the river edge trail section at Dogland. Even with the Ken’s Loop alternative, many of us found out that our dogs prefer walking the river edge section, which is narrow with a steep drop-off. The constant freezing and thawing has made that section icy and slick in the mornings. Now it’s quite a bit safer for humans and dogs. Ann Ramsey and I cleared some brush and I kicked out a few stumps, but Tod did the bulk of the work.

“It wasn’t as much work as I thought it would be,” Tibbetts said. “I was able to cut the shrubs with a pruning shears and I took out the stumps with a pickaxe. I still have couple more stumps to dig out.”

Feel free to flatten the grass and trample the dirt. Thanks Tod!
