Your comments needed on Battlement Mesa HIA

In the rush of news stories these past couple weeks, one story sort of got lost – the release of Draft 2 of the Battlement Mesa HIA.

Second draft of Battlement Mesa health study released
Scientists: Drilling within probably would threaten health, safety of residents

The comment period is now open, but only until 5:00 P.M., March 28, 2011.

Seventeen days people!

We need everyone’s help with this one – not just locals. It’s important to make the BoCC understand that people all over the country are watching this, not just Garfield County. This is your opportunity to stand with us for clean air and clean water. Natural gas drilling in residential neighborhoods is a critical issue and it is NOT specific to Battlement Mesa (which is what John Martin is saying). This is a problem anywhere where it occurs.

Please take the time to make your voice heard.
