LIFT-UP is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential humanitarian assistance in the communities they serve. LIFT-UP has offices and food pantries in Carbondale, Glenwood Springs, New Castle, Rifle, and Parachute.

LIFT-UP was formed in 1982, when our region fell on hard times after the downturn in the oil and shale industries. Many people found themselves out of work, with no way to feed their families. Local churches, businesses, and concerned citizens joined together to start LIFT-UP, which stand for Life Interfaith Team on Unemployment and Poverty. The needs continued, and with a reliable channel of assistance now in place, LIFT-UP continues to operate and meet those needs.
